Wired vs wireless — which is better?

Wired is more reliable — no signal drops, no battery issues, consistent performance. Wireless is easier to install in certain locations. We recommend wired wherever possible and wireless where wiring isn't practical. We'll tell you exactly which applies to your property.

How many days of footage can you store?

Depends on your camera count, resolution, and storage size. We size the system during the planning phase so you get the retention you actually need — typically 14 to 30 days for most homes.

Do the cameras work when the internet goes down?

Local NVR systems continue recording without internet — you just lose remote access until it comes back. Cloud-only systems require internet to record. We explain this and factor it into the recommendation.

Can you add cameras to an existing system?

Often yes. We assess the existing system first and let you know if expansion is possible or if the base equipment is limiting what you can do.
